Flexible and Fluid
As a single creator I have as much flexibility as needed when working on websites for clients. I can help them build their own site, fix an existing site, or create an entirely new site to fit their needs from the ground up. I charge per hour and can build a website to fit nearly any budget. I can handle the hosting or work with whichever host my clients prefer.
Most basic sites are built using WordPress, which allows for unlimited growth potential and is easy enough for most clients to make small updates on their own. Please view a few examples of websites I have built or worked on below.
Jay Brabant - Original Westcoast Native Art
Jay Brabant is a local artist in Nanaimo who specializes in Westcoast style wooden masks and totem poles. Some of his work is absolutely amazing and I encourage everyone to visit the site and take a look!
Unleashed in the City - Toronto
Unleashed in the City needed a new website that they could update themselves and that had the capacity to grow with their business. The website is linked to their Instagram account so that photos are automatically updated. An online store is also in the works.
The end result is a great site the clients can update on their own... with a LOT of cute dog photos!
The FOAMguy - Nanaimo
John Day, the FOAMguy, needed a new website but wanted to keep the look and feel of his original site. The entire site was rebuilt using HTML and maintains the look and navigation his customers are used to with a more modern style.
John does his own updates and gets my help for any large changes that need to be made. I also run his online advertisements using Google AdWords.
Your Logo Glove - Nanoose Bay
Your Logo Glove is a business based out of Nanoose Bay that provides branded golf gloves for tournaments all across Canada and the US. I've provided all of their graphic design, and created and run their website.
Additional duties have included mockups for potential clients, and helping to set up templates for printing. Check out my Your Logo Glove page for more details.
Emerald Estates - Parksville
Emerald Estates is an independent seniors living complex in Parksville. They needed someone to refresh their website to a more modern, responsive style.
The website is set up so that new vacancies can be easily displayed as posts. It introduces potential clients to the requirements of independent living and shows off some of the many reasons for seniors to call Parksville home.
Green Diva Apothecary - Coombs
Green Diva Apothecary produces Therapeutic grade solutions for teeth, health issues and body care locally in Coombs.
The website was designed to allow the client to manage their own online store. Woocommerce is easy to use and has endless growth potential. I loaded up the store with the original items and the client was able to take over from there.
Breanna Roycroft - Toronto
Breanna Roycroft needed a simple website to publish her blog and post her experience and portfolio to the world. Website was designed to be simple, clean, and easy to maintain and update.
A great example of a website built with just the basics.
Digital Duke Photography - Parksville
Wayne Duke is an award winning wildlife photographer from Parksville who needed an eye catching website to host his inline portfolio. With an emphasis on his photos, Digital Duke Photography is built without a template and is one of a kind on the internet.
GRASP Autism - Nanaimo
Darcy is a Behavioural Consultant, Interventionist and Special Education Teacher working in Nanaimo BC. GRASP Autism was designed in WordPress to make updating and maintaining it easy for the client to do.
Island Exposures - Parksville
A new website was part of a re-branding that saw Island Exposures move into printing on canvas and traditional framing. I've worked closely with Craig Carmicheal at the gallery and am available to meet clients there every weekday afternoon after 2 pm.
Wooden Charts - Parksville
Jerry Kool makes custom cut Wooden Charts to hang on walls based on local sea charts. The Wooden Charts website was built to highlight his work and match his style.
Northwest Bay Nursery - Nanoose Bay
A colorful and vibrant website was created to celebrate the plants and flowers available at Northwest Bay Nursery. Website includes a lot of photography and a fun animation to sell the idea of deer resistant plants. Site was created with WordPress to make for easy updates.
Under Construction
As of Oct 23, 2017, still have a lot of websites to add over the next day!
